Heavenly Body is a prototype costume project in collaboration with production company Unit 9. The brief was to create a costume that would be implanted with real-time trackers, to be pitched to museums as an augmented reality performance initiative.  Although the initiative fell through, I still completed my costume.

 

    The brief specified Louis XIV as the inspiration, and so I focused my research on the movements of baroque ballet. Balancing the geometry of the choreography with the Sun King’s radiating image, I sought to create a costume that would capture the lustre of a heavenly body in human form.
